Raymond J. Hughes
President & CEO
Ray came to Agilex Fragrances in March 2013 with 35 years of involvement in the fragrance, flavor and specialty ingredients industries. He successfully led profitable growth in both U.S. and international businesses throughout his career, and has considerable managerial experience at some of the largest global players in the industry.
Ray was active on the Board of Governors for the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA) for twelve years, including one year as President. Additionally, Ray served on the Board of Governors for the International Organization of the Flavor Industry (IOFI) for multiple terms.
Kevin M. Gilbert
SVP, Finance & Operations
Kevin has more than 25 years of U.S. and international general management, operations and strategic planning experience in the flavor and fragrance, pharmaceutical ingredients and specialty chemical industries. He is currently Senior Vice President of Operations & Finance for Agilex Fragrances, where he is responsible for all manufacturing, accounting, purchasing, quality and IT functions.
During his 13-year tenure with the company, Kevin has led the integration of several acquisitions, managed the start-up of the company’s China operations, directed the design and construction of its new Creative Center and driven continuous profitability improvement through cost reduction initiatives.
Natalie L. Kuhles
SVP, Creative Services
Natalie has more than 30 years of finished product and fragrance supplier management, fragrance/product development, project management and strategic planning experience in the cosmetics, personal care and fragrance industries. She is currently Senior Vice President of Creative Services for Agilex Fragrances, where she is responsible for all creative development including perfumery, fragrance evaluation, R&D/product development, sample laboratory and regulatory.
Over the past 15 years with Agilex, Natalie has formed new departments and processes to support the evolution of the business, integrated and streamlined the fragrance formulas/palettes for several acquisitions, consolidated the creative group to New Jersey, participated in the design of the company’s new state-of-the-art Creative Center and aided Operations in the startup of the company’s China operations.
SVP, Marketing & Business Development
Tony has more than 25 years of U.S. and international account management, business unit leadership and strategic planning experience in the fragrance industry for both multinational manufacturers and marketers. He spent a considerable amount of time overseas with extensive experience in Asia Pacific, Australia/New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Tony joined Agilex Fragrances in April 2013 and is currently Senior Vice President of Marketing & Business Development where he is responsible for sales, marketing, business development and customer service.
Karen E. Brophy
VP, Human Resources
Karen has more than 30 years of diverse experience in human resources across a number of industries – biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and information management. Throughout her career, she has built and led HR teams while guiding companies through many types of organizational change.
Karen joined Agilex in 2016 and serves as our Vice President, Human Resources where she is responsible for the strategic implementation of human resources programs and practices. She was recently appointed Chairperson of the Flavor & Fragrance Human Resources Group (FFHRG), an industry networking forum.
Dan is the Non-Executive Chairman of Agilex Fragrances. He spent the majority of his career with Dragoco including President of the Fragrance & Flavor Division, Worldwide and a member of the Executive Board of Dragoco, GmbH.
Mr. Stebbins was part of the executive team that integrated Dragoco and H&R into Symrise, the 4th largest flavor & fragrance company. He became The President of the Symrise, Worldwide Flavor Division.
Dan has been honored with numerous awards including the Erich Bruell award from the Fragrance Materials Association (FMA) and the International Fragrance Research Association (IFRA), as well as the Dr. Richard Hall award from the Flavor & Extract Manufacturers Association of the United States (FEMA) for outstanding service to the Fragrance and Flavor Industry.
Brian C. Connolly
Brian is one of the most globally respected leaders in the direct sales industry, well known for his distinguished thirty year career at Avon Products, Inc. After his retirement from Avon in 2008, Mr. Connolly served on the Boards of Miche, a direct seller of handbags based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board and Chair of the Development Committee for Bishop Laughlin, a high school in Brooklyn, New York dedicated to educating the poor.
He is a graduate of Penn State University, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Jonathan joined MidOcean Partners in 2009, and focuses on investments in the consumer space. Prior to his current position, Mr. Marlow worked at Investcorp International Inc. in the private equity group. Before that, he served in a similar capacity at J.F. Lehman & Co., a lower middle market private equity firm focused on the aerospace, defense, marine and related niche industrial sectors. Mr. Marlow also was a financial analyst at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in the investment banking department. Mr. Marlow received his B.A. cum laude, in Economics from Colby College.
Rob Sharp is Co-CEO of Ramy Brook, a rapidly growing contemporary fashion brand. Prior to that Mr. Sharp was a Managing Director at MidOcean Partners since its inception, and a Managing Director at DB Capital Partners. Previously, Mr. Sharp was a Principal at Investcorp International, Inc., a Vice President at BT Securities Inc., an Executive Vice President at Remsen Partners Ltd., and he began his career as an associate in the mergers and acquisitions group at Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Rob currently serves on the Boards of Hunter Fan and Waterpik, Inc. as well as the Advisory board of Mount Sinai.
Mr. Sharp received his MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was a Samuel Bronfman Fellow, and his BA summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Union College.
Tom had a long and distinguished career in the fragrance industry, working closely with leaders of many globally recognized brands across a multitude of product categories and distribution channels. During his 20 year tenure as President of Givaudan-Roure, he directed a team that created many iconic scents, winning countless awards and generating millions of dollars in revenues for his company and his clients. Tom was active in the industry, serving on the Boards of IFRA and the Fragrance Foundation. Since retiring, he has stayed active in the industry, serving on the Board of Fragrance Resources.

With facilities in New Jersey, Georgia and China, Agilex Fragrances offers more than 100,000 combined square feet of production space that we utilize to create and manufacture compelling scents for our clients.
Our fragrance manufacturing facility in China utilizes the same raw materials as our U.S. operations, along with the most advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment, which guarantees the highest level of product quality and consistency.
Our division headquarters in Piscataway, N.J. features our Creative Center of Excellence, which houses a team of fragrance professionals including perfumers, marketers, fragrance evaluators, research chemists and application specialists.
Our fragrance manufacturing resources include dedicated areas for production of our proprietary air freshener technologies and automatic compounding systems used for the production of both sample and production orders.
