Meet ???????? “????” ??? – our incredible Senior Perfumer! Born and raised in Africa, King attended Seminary High School at his mother’s wish. Afterward, he changed course and relocated to America to study chemistry. King joined Agilex where his chemistry expertise bloomed into a passion for the perfumery palette and his strong creative sense led him to pursue his olfactive talents. At the core of his creations, King leaves an imprint of his heritage and heartland, Africa. Africa is the muse at the heart of all that inspires him — from the earthy smells of the bush, to the intricate combination of spices in the kitchen, to the indigenous plants and fruits, inspiration abounds. “Africa is an integral part of who I am, what distinguishes me from my colleagues, to where my inspirations come from.”
Today King, his wife, and their four children make annual visits to Africa to keep the heritage and legacy alive. Kingsley Ibe’s curiosity and love of learning are never-ending. This winter, he will complete an MBA program to better understand the business side of the creative fragrance industry.
