Inquisitive by nature, Alice was drawn to science at an early age. Her curiosity led her to discover the flavor science program at Rutgers University. She began her career as a flavorist before choosing to leverage her expertise in flavor science to perfumery. A natural transition since taste and olfaction are intimately intertwined.
Alice brings an incomparable breadth of references to her work. That knowledge along with innate creativity, is the perfect combination for her role at Agilex.
As a highly creative individual with an affinity for science, Tom’s industry journey began while he was in college pursuing a degree in pharmacy. A summer internship at a fragrance house provided the opportunity for him to combine his creativity with his interest in science. Upon completion of his degree in pharmacy, he opted to accept an apprenticeship in perfumery.
He considers perfumery an art form.
The perfect blend between a scientist and an artist. And like art, Tom thinks fragrances should make us feel an emotion and allow us to vicariously experience a moment in time.
Born and raised in Africa, King grew up far from the world of fragrances, but his childhood was filled with scents of his heartland. He attended college in the US, where he studied chemistry. Upon graduating, he was soon hired as a fragrance Lab Technician. His chemistry expertise, combined with his curiosity of the perfumery palette and strong creative sense led him to pursue a career in perfumery.
Although he is far from home, Africa is the muse at the heart of all that inspires him. From the earthy smells of the bush to the intricate combination of spices in the kitchen and indigenous plants and fruits.
Neha started an apprenticeship in perfumery in India and refined her talents in Switzerland before making her journey to the US.
To Neha, inspiration comes in the form of travel, different cultures, and foods. She thinks smells correlate with places, moments, and memories. She often draws on personal experiences to create fragrances that evoke sensoriality and emotion.
